Selections remain in the basket until you use them in a slideshow (or log out). ![]() To save multiple images at once in a folder or a Powerpoint file, just select the image (next step) and see Actions below.Ĭlick the tiny checkbox on the top right corner of a thumbnail to select that image and add it to your basket. To quickly download a single image, hover over the “ i” without clicking, then click Download Image at the bottom of the yellow info panel. Be aware that the thumbnail and medium-sized views of images are much smaller and lower resolution than the full sized image you can download (in the next step) or view in an MDID presentation (later steps). In the search results, click directly on a thumbnail image to see a larger version, or hover your cursor over the “ i” without clicking to see the Full Record – all data about that object. You can also change the way the results are displayed and sorted under the Display menu. To remove a filter, click the X on the top right of its header. If a search results in a very large number of images, you can filter down to more specific choices using the menus on the right side of the page. When in doubt, wild cards also work here for example, Impression * finds Impression, Impressionist, and Impressionism. Leave out little words like “of” and “the.” You should also be able to leave out accent marks, as we include spelling variations when we enter data. The search includes Creator, Title, Notes, and Current Location (museums/collections). Click Search in the Toolbar and enter simple search terms, like “durer turf” for Albrecht Dürer’s Great Piece of Turf. Log in to MDID with the username and password provided by the curator.
